Sony PSP Go! Black Console (PSP)
Summary
- Developer:
- Sony
- Publisher:
- Sony
Introducing this year’s must-have handheld entertainment system: PSP Go.
The PSP Go redefines the meaning of portable gaming, with a reduced size and weight. As the console no longer uses UMDs to play games, all you need is the console. PSP Go lets you download games and content and save it to the 16GB flash memory. Featuring a sliding display panel for reduced size and weight making the PSP Go more pocket friendly.
UMDless
- The PSP Go has ditched the UMD Drive in favour of 16GB Flash Memory. The internal memory is where you will save the games and content that you download from the PlayStation Network. 16GB not big enough for you? The PSP Go features a memory card slot so that you can expand the memory if you find your PSP Go getting a little short on space
Shape-Shifting
- With the UMD Drive gone, Sony have experimented a little to find a way to make this console smaller. Their answer is to sit the buttons underneath the screen and slide them out when needed. This makes the PSP Go more compact and easier to fit inside your pocket.
Connecting
- The PSP Go has the same Connectivity as the previous PSP models, with one small addition to the WiFi and USB line up; Bluetooth. Whether this will be for swapping photos, headset inclusion, PC connectivity is still to be known, but it still gives you more options than most handhelds systems.
Sense Me
- Sense Me enables the PSP Go to take the music that you have and make an appropriate playlist based on your mood, so if you wanna dance it will choose the right music to strut your stuff.
Media Go
- Your gateway to get games downloaded from the PlayStation Network on your PC to your PSP Go. This software is packaged with the PSP Go so you'll be ready to go from the moment you open the box.
Weightless
- Due to the removal of the UMD Drive the PSP Go has shed some weight, and now weighs in at 5.56 oz instead of the PSP 3000s 6.7oz.
