As a genetically-enhanced agent of justice, it's your job to rid the city of crime by any means necessary. You are the extreme solution to an extreme problem as you attempt to take out 21 gang bosses and restore law and order to a sprawling metropolis teeming with lawlessness.
Crackdown is set in Pacific City, a city controlled by three violent gangs: Los Muertos, the Volk and the Shai-Gen Corporation. In Campaign Mode, you have two choices: you can battle gang bosses by yourself, or you can double your effectiveness by enlisting the help of other agents via System Link or Xbox Live. The singular focus in Campaign Mode is on tracking down and eliminating the 21 gang bosses who control the streets of Pacific City. The higher they are in the hierarchy, the better. Be wary, however, that the gang itself will not collapse completely until you wipe out its kingpin, its generals and all of its members.
Each time you locate one of the 21 gang members, you unlock a Time Trial mission that challenges you to take down that particular gang boss. A Time Trial mission is like a steel cage death-match. The gang boss' physical location is transformed into an enclosed arena, and it's up to you to battle your way through the armed guards and protectors to eliminate the gang boss and do it faster than you did before.
There are a number of ways to progress through Crackdown, but all include the acquisition of near-superhuman powers and amounts of offensive equipment with which to lay waste to the scummy gangs. You'll need technology and guile as well as brute force to succeed, and as Crackdown provides some GTA-style freeform chicanery and mayhem for the 360, this adds up to an essential purchase.

I must say at first glance, I wasn't too keen on this game because of the Halo 3 Beta, after I read some reviews, most told that this game was pretty fun, and in fact, it is one of the funniest game I have experience, you can actually loose awareness of the time you spend when playing this game, it's just hard core fun, can’t wait for the sequel.

crackdown is much wackier game than gta4 and much more fun but the storyline lacks any depth and its only 2 player co-op over xbox live
but its still well worth the money as its one of the funnest games ive played

crackdown is the best game ever it is just GTA only you have super powers and you are a cop but you can still kill anyone so I say it is 100000000000000000000 times better than GTA

Crackdown is a futuristic, next generation, online take on the wide-open Grand Theft Auto genre. You play as a super-human agent assigned to take out the filth that has starting filling up all corners of your city. The city's thousands of gangsters have grouped together into three criminal organizations: Cai-Shen Corp, an Asian gang that uses hitmen to extract revenge, The Volk, a Russian gang that specializes in guns, and La Muerta, a Spanish group that loves cars. Your overall goal as an agent is to defeat the bosses of these organizations, bringing peace to the city. You are a one-man super army, but if the going gets too tough, a friend can jump in and play along with you in co-op mode to bring an unstoppable crime fighting force to Pacific City.

Crackdown is an unbelievably detailed and action packed game that would have you entertained forever and a day. Simalar to the GTA series this game seems to me to be more hardcore and dare i say it better than GTA. The many abilities your character has is mind blowing and as you progress in the game so does your abilities to lift, jump, shoot plus more. If you want an outstanding game that uses the power of the 360 then this is the game for you, you will not be disapointed.
